Our Programs & Classes

At the core of the Bucks County Academy of Fencing (BCAF) is our signature system of training groups—a uniquely structured and continuously evolving program created by Maestro Mark Holbrow. Now in its 44th year of operation, BCAF has remained at the forefront of fencing instruction, with our training model refined over decades to meet the ever-changing demands of national-level competition.

What sets BCAF apart is our innovative blend of flexibility and structure. Our training groups pair fencers with rotating drill partners in thoughtfully designed practice sessions that build real-world adaptability. Fencers gain critical experience against opponents of varying heights, reaches, strengths, speeds, reaction times, handedness, and tactical styles—mirroring the diversity of competitors they’ll face on the strip.

This dynamic, problem-solving approach doesn’t just build strong athletes—it develops smart, strategic competitors who are prepared for anything.
